The film is a record of our conversations with young philosophers about becoming restless with autonomous thinking. As a visual study it is interested in the bodily, sensual processes of thinking, showing the sparks flying when 17-year-olds commit themselves to it with enthusiasm and seriousness of purpose.

The Opening Event of TED2017 presents cinema audiences a one-of-a-kind opportunity to watch live with their communities as new TED Talks are presented for the first time in front of 1,500 TED attendees - who represent the world’s leading thinkers and doers in Vancouver, Canada. For the second consecutive year, cinema audiences will get this exclusive look inside the opening night of TED and experience approximately six to seven revelatory talks and performances as they unfold on the TED stage.
D.A. Pennebaker’s concert film Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars remains the defining document of the end of David Bowie’s first great stage persona. The set, recorded at Hammersmith Odeon on 3 July 1973, included songs from each of the Starman’s unbroken run of classic albums, from 1969’s David Bowie (aka Space Oddity) to the then current Aladdin Sane. It climaxed with Bowie’s surprise onstage announcement that it would be the final Spiders from Mars show and promptly entered rock legend.
